I Built a Website to Sell Products — Here’s Everything I Learned.
I didnt plan to write any guide when i started building website to sell products. I just want see if i can really make it work or not. Some things go smooth, some thing fail very bad, and few decision surprise me more than i was expecting. This article is not theory or book type — this is what i actually did by myself, step by step, while building my own product selling website. At many point I thought this website will never go live, but somehow it did.

What i struggle most here is deciding niche. Everything look good and confusing at same time. I keep change idea again again and wasting many days before i take final decision.
Mistake I made
Big mistake i make was thinking more product mean more sale. I add many product very early and it just make website more messy and very hard to manage later.
What I’d do differently
If i do this again, i will start with very less product only. First test market, try understand people, then slowly slowly add more product instead of doing hurry.
What surprised me
One thing really surprise me was how much design matter. I was thinking product is main thing but bad layout break trust very fast.
What I didn’t expect
I didnt expect payment setup take so much time. Some payment gateway reject, some asking many document and this slow down full launch.
Hard lesson learned
Biggest lesson i learn is website not only about building. After launch real work start and traffic never come by itself.
